TAKE PART IN HERITAGE DAYS AND VISIT CREPS DE BORDEAUX

The fortieth European Heritage Days will be held on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September 2023 on the themes of “Living Heritage” and “Sports Heritage”.

This is a very special year for sport in France, with the Paris2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games just around the corner.

In addition, in the run-up to the Cultural Olympiad, the theme of “Sports Heritage” will be given pride of place. The heritage of sports has developed significantly with the increase in sporting activities (evolution of old practices or new practices), mainly at the beginning of the 20th century.

The Bordeaux CREPS and the city of Talence, with the invaluable assistance of Pierre BERNARD, invite you to take part in an exceptional tour of the facility.

TALENCE HERITAGE DAYS

THE CREPS, A HISTORIC SITE FOR SPORT IN FRANCE AND THE REGION

“When we think of heritage, we don’t immediately think of sport. However, all sporting activities have left their mark on built heritage over the course of history. This is as true in Talence as anywhere else. This year is therefore an opportunity to rediscover our sporting heritage. The various renovations to our facilities remind us that they are the fruit of a long history.

Finally, celebrating our sporting heritage means remembering many festive and popular events.
popular events. Sport, too, is part of society “*.

At the CREPS in Bordeaux, Pierre Bernard takes you on a 1h30 tour of the Monaday estate, now home to the CREPS.

On this tour, you’ll learn all about the history of the estate, including its equestrian past!
