JP PARIS 2024: LUCAS MAZUR TAKES GOLD AND BRONZE!

Second Paralympic title for Lucas Mazur, gold medallist in individual para-badminton. With Faustine Noël, he wins bronze in doubles.

A historic podium finish for the Paris Paralympic Games!

On Monday 2nd September, Lucas Mazur won the gold medal to retain his Paralympic title. of badminton in the SL4 category, sweeping aside his Indian opponent Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj. The latter was number a world leader.

The match was settled in two sets (21-9, 21-13)!

The SL4 category is reserved for standing athletes with a disability affecting a lower limb, but who can still run. Lucas Mazur’s right ankle has been affected since a stroke at the age of three.

With this victory, he gives the French delegation their tenth gold medal since the start of the Games, just a few hours after winning bronze in the doubles with Faustine Noël.

Lucas has been training at the CREPS in Bordeaux since 2021.
